It's time to make plans for that special someone. So, if your down in the dumps and unsure of what to get your beloved—we have a few suggestions that are thoughtful, memorable and affordable!
1. Hot Candle-lit Bubble Bath— We see it in the movies, in the best romance novels and sometimes in a really good dream. A relaxing bubble bath with candles and soft music will set the mood for romance this Valentine's Day.
2. Engraved Jewelry— Dog tags or a watch for him and a locket or bracelet for her. When it comes to jewelry the options are endless. Engraving jewelry with a pet name, favorite quote or anything from the heart will not only be thoughtful but memorable for years to come.
3. Home Cooked Gourmet Dinner— You don't have to be a world-renowned chef to cook a nice meal at home. Plan a special three-course-meal with a delicious appetizer, main course, an array of desserts.
4. Spa Day— Give your sweetheart a relaxing day at Anjella Paulette Day Spa, or better yet join them! Imagine a day of receiving massages, facials, detoxing treatments and a myriad of other treatments to help your sense of well-being. You'll leave looking and feeling relaxed and stress free.
5. Scrap-book — Whether it's been a few months or a few years pictures still say a thousand words. Put together a scrap-book of trips you've taken, places you've visited and the time you've spent together. If your a new couple and don't have enough pictures together for a scrap-book fill it with places you'd like to see and things you'd like to do with your beloved, and check them off once you've completed them.
We hope this helps and Happy Valentine's Day from the Anjella Paulette Day Spa Team!

Steps to a healthier lifestyle in 2013
As we step into the New Year, we should take the time to
reflect over 2012 and see what changes we wish to incorporate in order to lead
a healthier lifestyle. The holidays can
be quite stressful, and many of us may drop our wellness routines and indulge
ourselves in less than healthy eating habits.
With all of the shopping, parties, and sweet treats galore, it’s easy to
fall out of healthy habits. Now that the
holiday season is over though, it’s time to get back on track. Make this year’s resolutions long lasting and
life changing. Armed with a good plan,
you can find just that right routine and motivation to stick with it all year
round! There are certain key elements that you should take into consideration
in order to lay out your plan to a happier, healthier you.
Be Good to Yourself
Find creative ways to incorporate a spa lifestyle into your day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, go on daily walks, join a yoga or dance class, get a massage. Establish good habits to reduce stress.

Give Positive
Affirmations
Be kind to yourself, stay positive, and give yourself daily affirmations, as the power of positive thinking truly works! Don’t allow negative thinking, as it has a terrible impact on self-confidence and motivation, and it will drain your energy. If, in your mind, you tell yourself that you can’t do something, you will believe it and you will set yourself up for failure. Don’t allow that thinking to enter your mind! Eliminate the word ‘trying’ from your vocabulary and replace it with ‘doing’. Know that you can and will meet your goals! Start off each day by looking in the mirror and saying something positive about yourself. You may even wish to write affirmations on post-it notes and stick them in various places that you will see throughout the day.

New Year New Beginning
Forgive yourself and others for past indiscretions. It’s never healthy to hang on to things from the past and it will only serve to hold you back. Instead, appreciate the valuable lessons from those experiences. Let go and live in the present moment. We live so much healthier when we have a clear head and heart!

Eat Right
Pay attention to the ingredients in your food. Make sure you eat a well-balanced diet and drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water daily. Eliminate processed foods and sugars as much as possible, while increasing your intake of fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, and legumes. Remember that moderation is key and it is far better to eat several small meals each day, rather than a few large meals. Talk to a health coach and let them help you!

Have Fun
Take some time out of each day to do something fun. Spend time out in nature, find a hobby, or join a local interest group. A big component of leading a healthy lifestyle is maintaining a balance in all areas of life. If you work very hard, then you need to play just as hard. Get out and enjoy life!

Have an Attitude of Gratitude
Last, but certainly not least in living a healthy lifestyle, is to have gratitude. We live much happier when we don’t take things for granted and enjoy what life has to offer. This increases vitality and is significant in keeping away heart issues, depression, fatigue, and a myriad of other ailments. Be thankful for what you have and what you have achieved. See the blessings in any given situation. A small change in perspective can create great change in life.

2013 New Year's Resolutions!
6 Easy New Year's Resolutions
New Year’s resolutions are so
last year! How many people do you know who make the same resolutions every year
only to be disappointed? Instead, let’s make some resolutions that are super
easy to keep and inspire others around you to rethink your own.
- Smile More. Do more things that make you happy, whether it’s traveling, going for a monthly massage, having lunch with your friends, calling your mom, playing with your kids, horseback riding, or reading in the park on your lunch breaks. The point is to be more spontaneous with your time and enjoy life.
- Make Your Own Diet Decisions. Start listening to your body and feeding it what it needs and wants. Drink more water, eat more vegetables, eat less meat, make more food at home. You’ll often find that when you stop focusing on losing weight and concentrate more on eating whole, natural foods, the weight will come off naturally.
- Take More Naps. Research has shown that midday naps increase productivity and alertness. A 20- to 30-minute nap is ideal around 2:00 p.m. Just don’t forget to set an alarm!
- Start Moving. Too many people think that they have to join a gym or boot camp on January 1st for a New Year’s resolution to count. Simply parking further away, choosing the stairs over the elevator, and taking an after-dinner stroll are plenty to get your body moving if you’ve been sedentary for the past year.
- Leave the Electronics at The Door. When was the last time you made it through a dinner without checking your cell phone? Discover how good you can make someone feel by turning off interruptions and giving them your complete attention. Treat yourself to the same thrill by powering down the phone for some quality “me time”.
- Look Younger than Your Age. In addition to the high you get from accomplishing the above resolutions, regularly scheduled facials with Anjella Paulette Day Spa will help boost your healthy glow and keep skin looking supple and youthful.
